As technology evolves it is vital for the Journalism department at Creighton
University to make the necessary changes to keep their students ahead of
the curve. As the Convergent Technology Coordinator, Angie Zegers
helps integrate different aspects of multimedia into the Communications
core. One of Angie’s main objectives is to aid in the development
of an interactive online student newspaper. She serves as the Technology
Advisor for the Digital Video Photography course and as the Creighton Yearbook
Advisor.
Angie also works for the Creighton University Athletic Department as the Creative Director and Production Coordinator for Jaysvideo. Jaysvideo is a team of individuals who work year around to develop energizing videos for Bluejay fans at the Qwest Center and Morrison Stadium. In addition, she produces commercials, recruiting videos and fundraising videos for the department.
Angie graduated from Creighton University in 2005 with a B.A. in Photojournalism. While at Creighton she received a research grant to develop an in-depth photography story about the growing Sudanese refugee population in Omaha. After graduation, Angie worked as a Marketing and Design Specialist for the largest commercial real estate company in Omaha. She has kept her photography skills sharp by freelancing for numerous clients including the Associated Press and Creighton University.
