“One of my main objectives is to familiarize students with the vocabulary used to communicate ideas and processes in both the applied and fine arts. A strong foundation in communication and solid fundamental technical skills will provide a student with the tools necessary to solve creative problems. A strong foundation will give the students confidence to work on a more independent and advanced personal level. Not only will such problem solving assist them as graphic artists on their own, but also in their world beyond college. My aim as an instructor is to present each student with enough information, challenges and encouragement to equip them with a healthy understanding and appreciation of both their own work as well as work created around them.”
